An omelette is a gastronomic preparation that has different characteristics depending on the country . In several Spanish-speaking nations, the omelette is prepared by mixing beaten eggs with different ingredients.

One of the most popular tortillas is the potato omelette or potato omelette . In this case, the main ingredients of the dish are potatoes and eggs. Potatoes are usually peeled and fried first. The vegetable omelette is also quite popular. In this case, the eggs are mixed with spinach or previously boiled chard. Once the mixture is cooked in the pan and the tortilla has shape and consistency, it can be served.
In some cases, the tortilla is made with leftover food . Cooked noodles can be mixed with egg to create a noodle omelette , to name one possibility.
So that the omelette is well assembled and the egg coagulated in its entirety, there are those who turn the preparation before serving it. In this way, with the help of a plate, they turn the tortilla and place it back in the pan so that the fire hits the sector that was previously located above.
It is important to note that the tortilla can be eaten hot or cold. The dish can be used as an aperitif or tapa, as a starter or as a garnish. There are even people who choose to eat an omelette as a main dish.
In Mexico and other countries, on the other hand, the tortilla is a dough of little thickness that allows to accompany different foods and that is also filled.
