What Does sensation Mean
The word sensation has its origin in the Latin term sensatĭo . The Royal Spanish Academy (RAE) recognizes three meanings and uses of the concept, which is usually used to name the impression produced by something and captured through the senses.
For example: "When I saw the state the school was in, I had a very ugly feeling" , "The feeling of warmth that the hug gave me spread throughout my body" , "There is no more pleasant sensation than drinking a bowl of soup on a winter night . '
The idea of sensation is also used to name the astonishment that something causes or the success obtained: "My new jacket caused a sensation at the party" , "The singer who is a sensation in Europe will perform next Thursday in the capital of Chile" , "The actor's visit was the sensation of the summer . "
The forecast or prediction of something that will happen can also be named as a sensation: "I have the feeling that we won this party" , "My feeling is that the mayor will not appear in the next elections . "
So neither can we ignore the existence of a movie called Sensations . In 1991 is when said film appeared, directed by the Cordero brothers (Viviana and Juan Esteban), which is a musical drama. It tells how a group of Spanish origin decides to go to Los Andes with the clear objective of recording their next album there, a work in which they will make clear the influence of the sounds of this Ecuadorian place.
The most significant thing about this production is that it managed to win an award at the Bogotá Film Festival. Specifically, it won the award for the best original music, which, in this case, is halfway between rock and the so-called New Age style.
Within the audiovisual field, we cannot ignore the existence of the term sensation in one of the most important series of the 90s. We are referring to 90210, known in Spain as Sensation of Living . The great American television producer Aaron Spelling was the one behind this fictional product that brought us closer to the experiences of a group of young people from Beverly Hills during their high school and college years.
The starting point of this aforementioned series was the arrival in this luxurious American enclave of the Walsh twins, Brandon and Brenda, who will become the fundamental pillar of that gang in which, although money prevails, it has a series of emotional and affective deficiencies.
It should be noted, on the other hand, that the thermal sensation is what human beings feel according to various variables that affect the environment. The usual thing is that the thermal sensation is associated with the temperature and other meteorological conditions, although it depends on other personal issues such as the heat produced by the body (measured according to the metabolic rate) and others. In any case, a general thermal sensation, calculated according to temperature, wind, humidity, etc., is usually spread: "The thermal sensation already exceeds thirty degrees and would continue to rise . "
