What Does ink Mean
From the Latin tincta ( "to dye" ), ink is the colored liquid that is used to write or draw through a suitable instrument . This liquid usually contains different pigments that allow a surface to be colored with the intention of creating texts or images.
Pens, pens, and printers that connect to computers use ink. For example: "My pen no longer has ink: can I borrow yours?" , "My daughter asked me for a red ink pen to write in her notebook" , "The printer ran out of ink, I need you to go buy a new cartridge . "
The different types of ink are markedly different from each other. Historians believe that the first inks were created around 400 BC with rubber and soot. This ink was used with pens or brushes to write. Another ancient ink was made from mollusks.
The India ink , on the other hand, is produced by ground charcoal, caking and compacted vegetable resins or other substances that can act as glue.
In the case of inkjet printers , the ink is included in a cartridge . It is common for these teams to include a cartridge for black and another with magenta, yellow and cyan, which, depending on their proportions, allow the creation of different types of colors .
However, we cannot ignore the existence of another type of ink that is very important within the animal world. It is the liquid that certain cephalopods expel to defend themselves. This would be the case, for example of the octopus that through this secretion clouds the water in which it is found and that allows it to escape from whoever is stalking it.
However, this ink and other variants, suitable for human consumption, are used in the field of gastronomy. Hence, there are various and exquisite dishes that bet on that one to give the necessary touch to the recipe. A clear example of this is squid in its ink.
All this without forgetting that ink, also called dye in this case at hand, is used to refer to all that colored substance that is used in the field of hairdressing to change the tone of the hair of a person in question.
There are various phrases that we use in our everyday language and that make use of the term ink that we are analyzing. Thus, for example, we find the expression “to know something of good ink”. With it, what he tries to express is that a person has complete and exhaustive knowledge of a specific event, basically because he has witnessed it or because he has been conveniently informed by those who have been involved in it.
Of course, the expression "load the inks" should not be forgotten either. It is used to make it clear that something has been intentionally exaggerated.
Finally, the phrase "half measures" refers to the sayings or facts that reveal a certain suspicion : "The defendant spoke with half measures and did not clarify too much about the case" , "I am going to say what I think without half measures" .
