The entourage is the group of people who usually accompany and support an individual , usually an authority or a celebrity. The entourage is characterized by applauding and congratulating all the initiatives and sayings of the subject they follow.

In the world of politics, people often speak of the entourage to refer to the set of officials, ministers, secretaries and leaders who follow an authority . The members of the entourage stand out for flattering the authority in question at all times, defending it before the media and against possible attacks from the opposition.
The musicians , the athletes and actors famous also often have an entourage that accompanies their movements . In this case, the usual thing is that the entourage is made up of friends and assistants who seek to keep you company and facilitate various issues.
The entourage relationship can be understood as a power relationship : there are people who are subordinate to another whom they follow. The leader grants certain benefits (money, positions, etc.) to the members of the entourage, who in return provide their loyalty, trust and support.
Throughout history the most important entourages have been the royal ones. And these are still valid in what are, for example, the royal families of Europe. A good example of this is that, for example, relatively recently it was news that Prince Charles of England had established that the entourage of bodyguards led by his daughter-in-law Kate Middleton, the wife of his son Prince William, is only made up of women . And it is that he considers that this is the way to avoid possible cases of "infidelity".
In certain historical contexts, the entourage was even a social institution that emerged from the bond between a chief and his followers in times of war. That happened with the Germanic peoples of antiquity.
In addition to all the above, we cannot ignore the existence of an American television series that responds to the title of "The entourage." It began to air in 2004 and was very successful, hence it had a total of 8 seasons and reached its end seven years after its beginning, in 2011.
