What Does drum Mean
A drum is a container used for the storage and transfer of liquids . It is a receptacle that is hermetically closed , making it ideal for the transport of substances that need to remain isolated from the environment.
The characteristics of the drums are varied. They can be of different sizes and made of plastic , metal, or another material. At a general level, it can be said that they are similar to bottles , although larger (and therefore have greater capacity).
Drums have multiple uses. It is common that they are used to carry fuel , for example. They can also be used to transport oil (either edible or used for engines).
The cleaning products are often sold in cans. Floor cleaners , dishwashers, and other similar items can be found in one-, five-, or ten-liter cans, to name a few possibilities.
The mineral water and juices ( juices ), meanwhile, are offered in drums in many supermarkets . Again, the variety is wide, as there are five-liter, six-liter, twelve-liter and up to twenty-liter drums.
It is important to mention that there are disposable drums and reusable drums . In the first case, they are originally intended to be disposed of when emptied, while reusable drums have to be returned to the distributor of the product in question. In any case, to reduce the amount of waste that is generated, all drums can be found second uses or at least used for recycling so that they do not end up in the landfill.
