What Does cupla Mean
The Royal Spanish Academy ( RAE ) does not recognize the term cupla in its dictionary. The concept, however, is used in different ways in our language.
It is known as a coupling to the pair of forces : a system that develops with two forces that are parallel and have the same module or intensity, although opposite directions . The application of the coupling to an object generates a torsion or rotation .
According to its values and the distance that exists between the parallel forces, the torsion or rotation has a different magnitude. The moment of a coupling , in this framework, is a vector-type magnitude whose modulus is the product of one of the two forces and the distance between them.
It can be said that a coupling, in short, is a pair of forces, which are applied to the same body and that have the same intensity but in the opposite direction. This causes them to generate the rotation of the body in question.
In the field of plumbing , on the other hand, the piece that is used to achieve the union of two pipes on the outside is called a coupling . The couplings allow the pipes to be connected externally, making the water or gas circulate inside them without leaks or leaks.
In the field of automotive mechanics, it is called torque or driving coupling to the measure of force that makes the crankshaft rotate. The crankshaft, for its part, is the name of a part of the engine of certain machines, such as the car, which is made up of several elbows, each of them adjusted to a connecting rod and an axle; its function is to transform the rectilinear movement of the pistons into rotary, or just the opposite.
It is braked in rotation , and therefore consists of two forces: the first is expansive, and exert gases when combustion takes place in the head of the piston (this is measured in kilograms); the second is the extension of the crankshaft journal (measured in meters). For this reason, the value of this property is given in kilograms , in relation to the number of revolutions of the engine.
At this number of revolutions per minute , the highest value of the expansive force exerted by the gases is generated, which pushes the piston and this, by means of the connecting rod, makes the crankshaft rotate. The higher the engine torque, the better the car will perform under sudden acceleration, towing and climbing. At present, to measure this double of magnitudes the unit Newton-meter ( Nm ) is used, and the relationship 1 kg = 10 Nm has been established .
Safety components used to prevent certain breakages and reduce machine downtime are known by the name of manual coupling limiter . Its action is similar to that of a fuse when a mechanical overload occurs, since it disconnects the input from the output. It is very easy to install, both in line and in parallel shaft coupling.
As its name implies, this safety element must be adjusted manually, using a nut in the center (in the case of small and medium models) or several screws (in the larger coupling limiters). ). Depending on the type of mounting, it is possible to install it with a parallel transmission between shafts or by joining coaxial shafts.
For confectionery , a cupla is an adapter that is used in the nozzles of the sleeves. A tricolor cup, for example, makes it possible to apply three different products , something very useful to decorate a cake (a cake) or a cake with different colors.
